Sungsook has had over twenty solo shows internationally, including Rhythm of the Brush, Westchester Gallery, Center For the Arts, NY and Capriccio, Hanbyeokwon Gallery, Seoul Korea. Her group exhibitions include, The Lineage of Vision: Progress through Persistence, Gallery Korea, NY, Shades of Time, Queens Museum, Gesture and Beyond, Godwin-Ternbach Museum, NY and The Third Taipei International Modern Ink Painting Biennial, National Museum of History, Taiwan. Sungsook’s multimedia collaboration with musicians have included live painting, Brush Voice, Charles B. Wang Center, Stony Brook University, Multi-Sensory Triptych, Synergy Art Gallery and Art After Dark, Jeanie Tengelsen Gallery, NY. She has received two dozen awards for her work, including twice Best of Show at the National Juried Exhibition by the Sumi-e Society of America. She has also served as a curator for a number of exhibitions including Living Ink, Gallery Korea. Currently she serves on the faculty of Westchester Community College, the China Institute and the Art League of Long Island.
